It's been a while!

 Life update...

Meet Bozwell! Bozwell is the first dog I ever adopted on my own. He is my whole world in a little four legged body. He is my sunshine on a rainy day with his wagging tail, happy prance and "I love you".

I adopted him in 2013 and it was a very difficult process. The humane society was very judgmental and made assumptions that I would just bring him back because I was young and most young people don't keep their pets forever. They were wrong about me though! I knew from the moment I saw him that he was my best friend, and I knew that all from a picture. I had to have a friend adopt him for me, and here I am 10 years later still spoiling him rotten day in and day out!

Unfortunately, we got some devastating news about him earlier this year. Bozwell has Osteosarcoma, a very aggressive bone cancer and it is located in his jaw. This has left a tumor in his mouth that makes it difficult for him to chew his favorite treats and foods and seems to continuously become infected. Our vet told us there was no hope for him and we should consider euthanasia, but I knew we needed to speak to an oncologist before making such a difficult decision. Thankfully, our oncologist has begun treatments to help with bone pain and he is on medications for pain and infection to keep him happy and comfortable. He is eating better, playing and living his happy life again thanks to such wonderful specialists!

We did not expect to spend Thanksgiving with him based on his condition prior to seeing the oncologist but he is still here living his best life and hardly knows he is sick! This is unfortunately a fast spreading cancer and we know at some point it will win this battle. The only option for a possible cure would be to remove a portion of his jaw and start radiation and chemotherapy, but he is a picky eater and I am not sure he would be willing to relearn how to eat after such a life changing surgery so we opted not to take that route.

Through this whole process of figuring out his treatment plan, my daughter began having medical issues we are trying to sort out AND my roof started LEAKING! So we had to replace our roof and have had to spend a lot on medical bills and life has been so overwhelming lately!

I have stepped back from the "extra" bits in my business like my blog to take care of and spend time with my boy while I can. I am now at a point that we have a pretty routine schedule and I can make time for this before bed again! So here I am, bringing myself back to my little blog, or what I like to call my Scentsy diary because it brings me joy!

Love you all, thanks so much for your support!
