What size bulb do you need for your Scentsy Warmer?
One question I get quite often, is "What size bulb do I need for my warmer?". My customers reach out needing a replacement and aren't sure what size exactly they need!
Each of our bulbs do look different from each other so a look at the bulb could make it easy to tell, but there's a little secret to finding the answer! In fact, there are a few ways to find the answer and I'm going to share them all here! I wouldn't want you to be left in the dark!
Can I get a Watt Watt?!
Our bulbs are not a one size fits all, so it's important to know the correct size for your warmer. Sometimes, the wrong size bulb may fit, but it won't warm your wax correctly and can create a fire hazard. It is also important to make sure you are using a Scentsy bulb as they are made specifically for our warmers. Using the wrong brand could result in a shortage, fire hazard and will void your lifetime warranty.
So where can I find the correct wattage?
- If your warmer is currently available, you can find the wattage listed on the website. Simply search for your warmer and read the description. You can also find the wattage listed in the catalog next to each warmer.
- If your warmer is not currently available, but is a newer model (2017 and later), you should be able to find the wattage on the bottom of your warmer. Some models don't have the space on the bottom for the sticker so the wattage is not listed here.
- If the wattage is not listed on the bottom of the warmer, there should be a paper tag attached to the cord for your warmer and the wattage will be listed here.
- If your warmer is an older model, you may be able to find the wattage on the inside of your warmer. Remove the dish and look inside for a label with the wattage listed.
- If your warmer is a mini warmer (AKA nightlight), the bulb wattage will not be listed. However, they all use the same bulb wattage currently. The correct size bulb for your mini warmer is a 15W bulb.
If you have tried all of the above and still cannot find the correct bulb size for your warmer, do not hesitate to ask! I am happy to help!
What if my diffuser lights go out?
Our diffusers use LED lights that can not be replaced without replacing the whole diffuser base. However, our diffusers are covered by a lifetime manufacturer warranty.
